Alvin Martin Barthe', Sr., a lifelong resident of New Orleans, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 in Baton Rouge, after evacuating there during hurricane Katrina. He was 82. Son of the late Alexander and Albertine St. Cyr Barthe'. A retired plasterer, he was a member on the Local Plasterers' Union No. 93 for over 50 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 48 years, Celina Ann Barthe'. His sons: Alvin Barthe', Jr. and Peter Barthe', and his wife Florianne. His daughters: Adrienne Barthe', Angela Barthe', Johnson and her husband, Jon Johnson, Eileen Barthe', Rochelle Littleton and her husband Jeffery Littleton. Grandfather of Stephen, Jason and Tiara Barthe', Sean and Charmaine Albano, Megan and Joshus Littleton, and Hannah Johnson. Brother of the late Paul, Louis, Henry and Edwin Barthe' and Louise Pichon. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at St. James Major Catholic Church, 3736 Gentilly Blvd. NOLA at 12 noon. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the church. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Services entrusted to LOUISIANA UNDERTAKING COMPANY 1449 N.
