AUBRY Yvonne Badon Aubry, age 90, was called to her heavenly home, Friday, September 8, 2006 at 10:41 p.m. following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Covington, Louisiana and a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana until she evacuated to Irving, Texas due to Hurricane Katrina. She leaves to mourn her passing her devoted and loving husband, Dr. Alvin J. Aubry, Sr.; a son, Dr. Alvin J. Aubry, Jr.; a daughter, Yvonne Aubry Clark; three grandchildren: Anthony J. Aubry, Stephanie Diane Clark and Michelle Renee' Clark; two brothers: Leonard and Marucs Badon; a daughter-in-law, Thelizie Lopez Aubry; three sisters-in-law: Bertha Aubry Lee, Doris Miller Aubry and Janice Jones Badon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Angeletti Badon; four brothers: Lester, Malcolm, Numa and Upton Badon; and a sister, Muriel Badon. Yvonne was a graduate of Mc Donogh 35 Senior High School, Class of 1935 and Xavier University of Louisiana, Class of 1939. She retired from the Orleans Parish School Systerm in 1980, after 30 years of teaching. She was a member of St. Raymond Catholic Church in New Orleans. Her thoughtfulness, generosity, and love for people will not be forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2916 Paris Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana, Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation starts at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at St. Louis No. 1 Cemetery, New Orleans, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Xavier University of Louisiana, #1 Drexel Dr., New Orleans, LA 70125. Majestic Mortuary of New Orleans, Louisiana and Restland Funeral Home of Dallas, Texas are in charge of arrangements. Published in The Times-Picayune on 9/19/2006.
