AUBERT Edward McCormack Aubert died on October 4, 2005. He was 92 years old. Beloved husband of Charlotte Riddick Aubert. Son of the late Rose McCormack and Octave L. Aubert of New Orleans, LA. Father of Adrienne Aubert Mayne of Spring, Texas. Father-in-law of Thomas W. Mayne of Spring, Texas. Grandfather of Thomas Edward, Melissa E. and Mackenzie Mayne of Spring, Texas. Also survived by one brother, Robert F. Aubert; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Aubert was a life long resident of New Orleans, LA. He graduated from Jesuit High School and Loyola University. He was a general insurance broker for over 50 years and a founding member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and Louisiana Landmark Society. He handled all the publicity of the Louisiana Landmark Society. He was also a member of several patriotic organizations and Carnival Clubs. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard in World War II. When Angela Gregory made the Bienville Monument, she asked him to pose for Bienville's face and head. He did, and when you drive by the monument on Decatur Street, stop and see it and see if you recognize him. In fact he laughingly says a lot of his friends wound up calling him ""La Tet.'' Due to Hurricane Katrina no services have been held as of this date. Please sign and view the Family Guestbook at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
