Sophia Hasigianis Arris, age 87, on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, a resident of New Orleans, LA who was residing in Edmonds, Washington with her daughter after Hurricane Katrina and at the time of her death. She had two daughters: Katherine Moreau (husband Charles) of Metairie, and Pauline Steiner (husband James) of Edmonds. Her grandchildren include: Ted Fenasci (wife Rachel), Chris Geraci (wife Andrea), Michael Moreau, Bill, Chris (wife Nancy) and James Steiner, and Nancy Martin. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on September 15, 1918. She retired from the University of New Orleans. Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 4, 2006 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of The Holy Trinity, 1200 Robert E. Lee Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70122 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of The Holy Trinity on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at the Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of The Holy Trinity.
