Maggie Amiker, a resident of New Orleans, LA passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Fountainview Nursing Home in Springhill, LA. She was 105 years old. Maggie was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi and later moved to New Orleans, LA until hurricanes Katrina and Rita. She was a longtime member of Calvary Tabernacle C.M.E. Church where she was a missionary. She is survived by her nieces Bernice Jones, Helen Williams, Mary Douglas, Gladys Sadler, Lorraine Rigsby and Bobby H. Ordone; great niece Brenda Wilson; nephew Carl E. Amiker; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Kelly Amiker, parents Jimmy Jenkins and Lula Wilson, brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends of the family, friends of Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Fountainview Nursing Home, pastors, officers and members Calvary Tabernacle C.M.E. Church are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Thompson United Methodist Church, 2601 St. Roch Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Internment at St. Louis Cemetery #3. D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
