Louise ""BaBa'' Scie Raymond Alvarez passed away at the residence of her son, Gilbert on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the age of 83. She was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA until she was displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Scie; her husband, Gus Alvarez; and her two sons, Don Courtney and Stanley Raymond. She is survived by her three sons, Samuel Reed, Rev. Gilbert Scie and his wife, Linda, Allison Raymond and his wife, Thelma; two sisters, Amelia Johnson and Martha Bogues; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from the Jefferson home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd St., Metairie, on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 12:00 noon. Visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.
